We salvaged approximately 5000sf of the finest antique style mahogany flooring from the infamous Dragon's Head castle in Southampton, NY.  Oh, if these floors could talk.  In the building's heyday, some of the worlds most wealthy people walked on and admired its mahogany floors.  With a little imagination and a space looking for a beautiful, one of a kind floor, you could admire it too! Shown below are images of this mahogany being sorted and tallied as it awaits re-milling. At the time of the photo, about 20% of material had not yet been taken out of the storage container. This mahogany is very stable.  There is almost no cupping or warpage.  These boards were generally glued and screwed to the subfloor.  The re-milling process will include planing the surfaces, ripping split or damaged edges and re-edging.  The batch will then be packaged for shipping from the saw mill. Shipping arrangements are to be made on a per order basis.  Once installed at your project,  standard sanding/refinishing techniques can be applied for an amazing result!
